Participants discussed challenges and needs for process oriented industries, petroleum, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Special emphasis was placed in the areas of supply chain management, R&D in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, methodologies for process operations, and optimization models and techniques.
